Upon reflection on 2022, I found that I was happier this year than ever before, and it is not because I have achieved something big this year.
I attribute this to my frequent appreciation of life.
Let me explain.
When we are in a difficult spot in life, we desperately want it to get over. And when it gets over, our joy and happiness are at a maximum point for some time, and then it erodes. We start another chase and forget the joy and happiness of that moment.
However, it doesn’t take only a significant event to happen to be happy and joyous. If we can look at even the past hour, we may have a couple of things for which we can appreciate our life. It may be for food, for someone we met, for a breeze of air, etc.
It will also lead to feeling gratitude for what you have in life. You will start LOVING yourself and others more.
